Planting Your Meadow
  • Pollinator Seed Mix: The packaging is embedded with a biodiversity-boosting “Pollinator Meadow” seed mix containing dozens of annuals, biennials, and perennials.
  • How to Grow: Keep the paper dry until spring, tear it into small pieces, lay them on soil with a thin layer of compost, and keep it damp for natural decomposition and growth.

How do the two ordering options work?
We offer two ways to secure your studio snails:
    • The Random Studio Tablescape Cracker Pack (Min. Order 2):Perfect for outfitting a full holiday table. To protect our small-batch kiln runs, these are sent as a completely random mix of our vivid signature colorways to bring an element of surprise to your layout.
    • The Single Snail (Brass Stake or Waxed Cord): A completely bespoke collector’s piece where you select your exact colorway and choice of utility mounting from the dropdown menus.

Can I use the snail outdoors in garden planters?
Yes! Every snail is hand-sculpted from premium white stoneware clay and fired to high temperatures, making them completely weatherproof and frost-resistant. If you choose the solid industrial brass rod stake option, please note the brass will naturally darken and develop an antique, deep biophilic patina when exposed to outdoor moisture.
 
How does the deconstructed cracker snap work without tearing the hat?
To keep your handmade wildflower seed paper entirely intact for wearing as a crown, we engineered a clever deconstructed bang. The traditional friction snap strip is tucked neatly inside the barrel, allowing you to pull it independently for that classic festive pop without damaging a single edge of your future headpiece.
 
How do I plant the seed paper casing after the holidays?
It’s incredibly simple! Tear the biodegradable seed paper hat and internal scroll into small pieces, press them under 1cm of healthy soil, water thoroughly, and keep the area moist. In the spring, watch a vibrant wildflower pollinator meadow grow right out of your holiday table setting.
 
Is everything truly plastic-free and sustainable?
Absolutely. We operate under an uncompromisingly radical sustainable manifesto. Every part of this whimsical creature—right down to the hidden glue assembly—is entirely plant-based and compostable. Your order ships securely wrapped in protective Hivewrap and compostable starch eco-fill peanuts inside plastic-free corrugated boxes.
